HVAC upgrades

Replacing an old, inefficient HVAC system can help you achieve improved heating and cooling performance along with substantial energy savings. If your system is more than ten years old, it is using more electricity than a new one. Don’t wait until your heating and cooling equipment dies!

High efficiency lighting

According to the US department of energy, 40% of the average commercial electric bill is for lighting. Upgrading to higher efficiency lighting can be a quick fix to high electricity costs. With all the options available, ENCON can help determine what lighting solutions are the best for your commercial OR residential building.

New automated building and HVAC controls

Getting the proper equipment installed in your building is the first step. The next step is to control it correctly, to suit your needs. The right controls will provide comfort, energy savings and personalized convenience.

Variable speed drives (VSDs) on motors fans and pumps

Most motors, fans, and pumps are deigned to run at a single speed. A variable speed drive regulates the speed at which these mechanical devices operate. Significant energy savings can be achieved by reducing pump, fan, and/or motor speed when full power is not necessary.

Steam Trap

Steam is used for heating or as a driving force for mechanical power. Steam traps remove liquid condensate from the system, since liquids simply cannot provide as much power as hot steam. These traps are used in applications to remove the less effective condensate and ensure that steam energy is not wasted.

Heat Recovery

Heat recovery is essentially recycling heat that would be anyways lost from the system, and redirecting it to a secondary circuit for heating of hot water production. This recycling saves boiler or furnace run time, and overall decreases the amount of energy required for heating or hot water production.

Building enclosure/envelope improvements

The building envelope is designed to separate the inside conditioned air from the outside environment. A proper envelope is important to control airflow, establish proper humidity levels, control energy consumption and provide comfort. Components of the envelope include the roof, walls, floor slab, windows and insulation. Measures can be taken to increase the ability of your building to retain proper temperature, and remove any spots where air may be leaking in and/or out of the building.

Solar PV

Solar PV systems are sustainable, environmentally friendly, and have the opportunity to save you money! There are incentives and rebates available to help offset the initial installation costs of switching to a solar PV system. ENCON specializes in taking advantage of those subsidies to implement a renewable solar PV system in your home or business.

Geothermal Systems

Geothermal systems include a ground source heat pump, a ground heat exchanger, and a distribution system that goes into the earth. The heat pump transfers heat to or from the ground to heat or cool the building. Geothermal systems are long-lasting, durable, provide predictable operating costs and provide significant energy saving! There is a Federal Tax Credit and other incentives available that make geothermal systems an even more attractive option.

How to Finance

We will help you understand all of your options so you can make the decision that is best for your business.

As your trusted advisors, ENCON will help you sort through the different ways there are to finance energy efficiency projects. There is no “one size fits all” and we are here to find your fit! We will help you understand the pros & cons of each option, find the best way to structure your contract and help identify the best financing partner for your project.

Working with ENCON as your C-PACE Consultant

ENCON is one of the few companies that can handle the complete C-PACE process. We will offer a complementary Level I ASHRAE audit and potentially a no cost Level II audit to see where we can help you save energy dollars. We can blend multiple energy projects under the C-PACE financing umbrella.

Incentives & Rebates

Whether your goal is to save energy, reduce costs, move towards sustainability, or increase the value of your building, we make it easy and affordable to do so.

Is your business capitalizing on all the incentives and financing options available for energy efficiency upgrades? After all, you are already contributing to these incentive funds through a fee on your utility bill.

At ENCON we focus on taking advantage of available rebates, incentives and federal and state tax credits that can help reduce installation costs and shorten the payback period to increase your overall cash flow.
